This post is nearly two weeks late...but better late than never.
The draft for my second fantasy football league, which I was present for, was conducted on the evening of Thursday, August 28th. It's a 10-team league with the usual serpentine draft order, and for only the second time in my life, I got the first overall pick, and here's the team I ended up with:
1. (1) LaDainian Tomlinson RB SD
2. (20) Andre Johnson WR HOU*
3. (21) Braylon Edwards WR CLE
4. (40) Drew Brees QB NO
5. (41) Michael Turner RB ATL
6. (60) Ben Roethlisberger QB PIT
7. (61) Tony Gonzalez TE KC
8. (80) Anthony Gonzalez WR IND
9. (81) San Diego DEF
10. (100) Matt Forte RB CHI
11. (101) Nate Burleson WR SEA
12. (120) Adam Vinatieri K IND*
13. (121) Drew Bennett WR TEN
14. (140) Deuce McAllister RB NO
15. (141) Jerry Porter WR JAX
16. (160) Indianapolis DEF
* These players were autodrafted at times when I took too long to make my decision, for whatever reason.
(We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR flex position, 1 kicker, 1 DEF.)
All things considered, I don't think it came out so bad...but in my experience, I win with the waiver wire more than I do with the draft, so we'll see how it all goes.

Forte is a nice steal that late.
Too bad you picked Burleson. I was pumping him up to anyone that would listen. Damn you, Fate!
